Patoranking has revealed that music was not his dream choice of career.

The ‘Girlie oh’ singer is no doubt rated among the best dance-hall acts in Nigeria. But while many may not know, the Ebonyi State-born star has said he actually wanted to be an Information Technologist before music came along.

The ‘Alubarika’ singer, who said he went through untold hardship which led him into dropping out of school, told NET in an interview that he wanted to be an IT expert if he had not ended up with being involved in music.

“I wanted to be an Information Technologist, that was my dream, but things came up along the line.”

When asked if he would still make efforts to complete his education, he said: “Yes, I will definitely do (that). When I get the balance, I will surely go back to school to study.”

Patoranking, whose real name is Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, is the MTV Base Artiste of the Month of March.
