Lagos, NIGERIA — Media personality and comedian Roby Ekpo has shared a series of startling revelations regarding the collapse of his 11-year marriage to OAP Mayowa Lambe Ekpo during an appearance on the latest episode of The Honest Bunch podcast.
Ekpo expressed his heartbreak after discovering via social media that his estranged wife had recently remarried in Texas, United States.
Okay News reports that Ekpo, who is 48 years old and remains childless, claimed he discovered his wife had been using contraceptives throughout their marriage despite his efforts to start a family.
Ekpo alleged that while he was undergoing fertility tests to address their childlessness, his wife travelled to Miami under the guise of seeking medical surgery to aid conception. He claimed he later discovered the procedure was actually a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). “I started going for sperm tests… only to find out she was taking contraceptives,” Ekpo stated during the emotional interview.
The comedian further claimed he stumbled upon messages allegedly sent by Mayowa to a third party, in which she expressed deep dissatisfaction with the marriage. The messages reportedly criticized Ekpo for failing to provide adequate financial support, sexual satisfaction, or spiritual guidance.
The couple, who married in November 2015 and were known for their public displays of affection and vow renewals, had maintained a long-distance relationship for several years. Ekpo noted that he was “caught off guard” by the news of her new marriage, as he was still wearing his wedding ring and no formal divorce had been publicly announced until the viral wedding photos surfaced on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
Despite the allegations, Ekpo offered a sarcastic congratulatory message to his former partner, claiming this was her third marriage and wishing her “beauty and longevity” in the new union. As of April 19, Mayowa Lambe has not publicly responded to the claims made on the podcast.
