The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced a partial restriction on the Nyanya-Keffi expressway this Saturday to facilitate the 2023 annual 10-kilometer walk/jog exercise aimed at enhancing the fitness of its personnel.

In a statement released on Friday, NAF spokesperson Edward Gabkwet highlighted that the exercise, which will take place in all NAF bases nationwide, is expected to kick off from the NAF Base Asokoro football field to the Defense Headquarters roundabout promptly at 6 am.

Gabkwet emphasized that the route would encompass key points including the Keffi Road/Kugbo furniture and pedestrian bridge, the army checkpoint in Kugbo, and ultimately conclude back at the base via the NAF Valley second gate.

“During the period, there will be partial restrictions of traffic along the aforementioned routes,” Gabkwet mentioned in the statement.

“Similarly, the exercise in other locations nationwide is expected to cover major routes around NAF Bases and its environs.

“Hence, all necessary safety measures have been put in place to ensure a hitch free exercise.

“Consequently, members of the public, especially motorists and those who reside around AYA, Asokoro and communities around NAF bases across the nation are advised not to panic but to go about their normal activities.”
