Naira Marley in prison custody — EFCC reacts to his fake release

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has refuted reports going rounds on social media that Azeez Fashola, a Nigerian musician also known as Naira Marley, has been released.

Okay Nigeria reports that Justice Oweibo ordered that he be remanded in prison custody until May 30 for bail application.

A video surfaced on social showing Naira Marley entering a private car as he came out of the court after his arraignment on Monday.

A source at the EFCC told SaharaReporters that the video was mere propaganda by friends of the musician who are desperate to launder his image.
