The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has officially lifted the suspension imposed on one of United Nigeria Airlines’ aircraft, specifically a wet-leased Airbus A320.

The decision comes after a thorough evaluation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

In a statement released late Friday, United Nigeria Airlines expressed gratitude for the understanding of its passengers during the period of suspension.

The airline highlighted its commitment to safety, emphasizing that passenger well-being remains a top priority.

“We are pleased to announce the lifting of the suspension placed on our ‘Part G’ operations specifications which affected one of our aircraft,” the statement read. “Safety is at the core of United Nigeria Airlines’ values, and we take our commitment to passenger safety very seriously.”

Acknowledging the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the disruption in flight schedules, the airline issued a formal apology.

The statement reassured customers that the dedicated team at United Nigeria Airlines is working diligently to address the backlog of flight schedules.

“We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you and would want to reassure you that our dedicated team is working around the clock to resolve the backlog of flights schedules because we understand the importance of your travel plans and the trust you place in us.”

The airline concluded the statement by inviting passengers to reach out to its customer support team for any inquiries or assistance, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring a seamless travel experience.

The suspension was initially triggered by the diversion of a United Nigeria Airlines Abuja-bound flight to the Asaba International Airport a few days ago.

The NCAA launched an investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the diversion.

The airline, in response, clarified that the diversion was due to poor weather conditions at the intended destination and that the passengers were properly briefed about the situation upon landing in Asaba.
