The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has issued a public advisory to residents of Afaka, Kauya, Mando, and Tsamiya communities in Kaduna State to avoid its open range area from Tuesday, October 28 to November 7, 2025.

According to a statement by NDA Public Relations Officer, Maj. Mohammed Maidawa, the academy will be conducting a Range Management Package Shooting Exercise for cadets of the 73 Regular Course (Army) during this period.

The NDA assured the public that all necessary safety protocols have been put in place to ensure the exercise is conducted without incident. Residents were urged to comply with the advisory to avoid any safety risks.

The statement conveyed the regards of the NDA Commandant, Maj.-Gen. Abdul Ibrahim, and emphasized the academy’s commitment to maintaining public safety during military training operations.
