NDDC The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has refuted an allegation that N183.7 billion of the commission’s funds cannot be accounted for between 2008 and 2012.

The NDDC Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Dr Henry Ogiri, reacted to the claims in the Special Audit Report submitted to the National Assembly by the Auditor-General of the Federation, Mr Samuel Ukura.

Dr Ogiri, who described the allegations as misleading, also picked holes in some of other claims by the Auditor General, saying the items he referred to in the report had been passed on to suspense account at the time of the audit, which has since been reconciled.

Speaking while inspecting projects in Abua-Odua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Dr Ogiri said that the current management of the commission has recorded notable achievements because of its judicious application of financial resources.
