Nigerian lawmaker and businessman Senator Ned Nwoko has accused his estranged wife, Regina Daniels, and her siblings of drug abuse and repeated acts of harassment, claiming that their behavior sabotaged his efforts to help the actress recover from substance dependency.

In a lengthy post shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, Nwoko released a series of videos and detailed allegations surrounding the breakdown of his marriage with the Nollywood actress, insisting that his actions were aimed at protecting his children and supporting Regina through rehabilitation.

“These videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff, especially whenever I was not around,” Nwoko wrote. “His visits were often aggressive and disruptive.”

The senator, who represents Delta North in Nigeria’s National Assembly, said he had made significant financial and personal sacrifices for the Daniels family over the years.

“This is someone I sponsored through his last two years at the University of Ekpoma. I bought his musical instruments, rented and furnished a flat for him in Abuja, in addition to the house I bought for Regina in Asaba before our marriage for the use of all of them,” he stated. “I also routinely provided allowances to all members of the family, including her mother, Rita Daniels. Indeed, in the last two years, I have a record of transferring ₦125 million to her alone.”

According to Nwoko, Regina’s alleged substance abuse led to behavioral changes that prompted him to arrange medical intervention, with doctors recommending limited contact with individuals who might enable her addiction. He alleged that Regina’s siblings — including Sammy and Destiny, and their associates defied those restrictions by “bringing her the same drugs she was being treated for.”

He further claimed that Regina’s friends and siblings “constantly frustrated” her recovery process. “Instead of helping her recover, they encouraged her addiction and completely frustrated the efforts of the doctors and therapists working with her,” he said.

Nwoko also recounted multiple incidents in which Regina allegedly exhibited erratic behavior, including staying out overnight, inviting individuals he had banned from his home, and verbally abusing staff.

“I took so much nonsense just for the sake of the kids. I also knew that drugs had a lot to do with it,” he wrote.

The politician alleged that Regina and her family staged a viral video showing her in distress, claiming it was “a scripted act filmed in front of my house, in my absence.” He denied ever sending anyone to harm her.

“It is blatantly false to say that I sent thugs to beat Regina in another house. The video that went viral was filmed entirely in front of my house by Regina’s sister and her friend. It was a pure Nollywood scenario,” Nwoko said.

He also accused Sammy of “violent and disruptive behavior,” claiming he had been arrested several times by law enforcement agencies.

“Sammy should have a life of his own outside of Regina and pursue his career,” Nwoko wrote. “He has been arrested a few times by the police and the EFCC. He needs a total rehab; otherwise, his violent behavior will continue.”

The latest post deepens the ongoing public fallout between Nwoko and Regina Daniels, whose emotional videos in recent weeks accused the senator of physical abuse and manipulation. The crisis, which has attracted widespread attention in Nigeria and abroad, has continued to unfold across social media platforms.
