Netflix has announced it will launch a new FIFA football game on Netflix Games in time for the FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026, giving subscribers the chance to play a reimagined version of the world’s most popular sport directly on their devices.
The game, developed and published by Delphi Interactive, will be available exclusively to Netflix members at no extra cost. Designed to be easy to learn but challenging to master, the football simulation will allow players to compete solo or online with friends using only their phones. Netflix says the game focuses on fast, accessible gameplay that captures the emotion and excitement of the World Cup.
Netflix’s President of Games, Alain Tascan, described the tournament as the biggest cultural moment of 2026, saying the company wants to bring football “back to its roots” in a way anyone can enjoy. FIFA President Gianni Infantino called the partnership a major step in FIFA’s push for innovation in football gaming, adding that the project marks “a new era of digital football” aimed at reaching fans of all ages worldwide.
The FIFA game will also be playable on select smart TVs in some countries, with players using their phones as controllers, alongside Netflix’s growing library of games. More details about the game are expected to be revealed in 2026, ahead of the World Cup kickoff.
