NGX Weekly Market Report

The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) recorded a significant increase in trading activity for the week ending April 11, 2025, with a total turnover of 2.094 billion shares worth ₦52.97 billion exchanged in 64,612 deals.

This marks a major jump from the previous week’s 1.183 billion shares valued at ₦28.87 billion across 42,397 deals.


Top Performing Sectors

  • Financial Services led with 1.539 billion shares worth ₦36.35 billion traded in 36,013 deals — accounting for over 73% of the week’s total volume.
  • Agriculture followed with 98.88 million shares worth ₦1.34 billion.
  • Services Industry came third with 93 million shares worth ₦522.15 million.

Top Traded Equities

The top three equities by volume — Access Holdings, GTCO, and Zenith Bank — moved a combined 629.33 million shares worth ₦25.82 billion in 12,742 deals, representing 30.06% of total volume and 48.75% of total value.
