Nicaraguan President, Daniel Ortega will be seeking re-election with his wife First Lady Rosario Murillo solidly by his side as candidate for vice-president.

BBC reports that Ortega who is seeking a third term in office alongside his wife officially submitted their candidacy papers in the capital Managua. Hundreds of Sandinista supporters cheered the couple when they left the building.
