Nick Cannon, 35, reportedly won’t sign his divorce papers, leaving him still legally married to Mariah Carey, 46, according to TMZ. Though the couple separated in August 2014, Nick is reportedly stalling in making their split official, and that’s making it impossible for Mariah to marry fiancé James Packer! So why is Nick allegedly refusing to sign the papers?
Nick, according to a source who spoke to TMZ,
doesn’t have a known reason for reportedly refusing to cooperate. Nick allegedly won’t say why he’s not signing the divorce papers, but the source told TMZ that it’s because he still has major feelings for
Mariah and won’t let go! The fact that she’s due to get married to new fiancé James is
allegedly too much for Nick, and he reportedly doesn’t want to sign the papers to make it possible for Mariah to officially move on! Join
Nick and Mariah had issues to work out before moving forward. Mainly, the former couple had to agree on a custody arrangement for their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, and figure out a property settlement agreement. This stuff is hard when you’re as rich as Nick and Mariah! But now that that’s all been resolved, and so long ago, it’s interesting to know that.
Nick still allegedly won’t get divorced! Mariah is reportedly not pleased with Nick’s move, according to the source. And can you blame her? She’s got a fairytale wedding to plan and a cute new man who she wants to spend the rest of her life with! That can’t happen until Nick lets go for once and for all.
So was Nick just hiding his true feelings in January 2016 when he congratulated Mariah on her engagement? Someone posted a hilarious meme showing Nick lying in a hospital bed, having a heart attack over the engagement news, and he commented that while it was funny, he was thrilled for the couple: “#AllLove. Congrats to @MariahCarey and James! May God Bless Your Future Union #GreatPeople #GreatCouple.” So sweet! But it looks like Nick was just allegedly trying to
make it seem like he wasn’t hurt! When will he grant Mariah her divorce so she can start that future union?
