Nigeria have advanced to the semi-finals of the 2017 Wafu Cup of Nations after defeating hosts Ghana 2-0 in their last Group A game in Cape Coast on Monday.

Two second-half goals from Anthony Okpotu and Peter Eneji gave the home-based Super Eagles their first win in the tournament.

Okpotu opened the scoring in the 52nd minute before Eneji doubled Nigeria’s lead in the 55th minute after slamming in a superb left-foot strike from the edge of the box.

With the win, the coach Salisu Yusuf side finished second in Group A on five points while Ghana, who have already qualified, finished top on six points.
