LAGOS, Nigeria – The Federal Road Safety Corps commended Dangote Cement Plc on Friday, May 29, 2026, for implementing transport safety policies that reduced articulated truck crashes across the country.
Okay News reports that the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed, described the company as a benchmark for transport management and road safety practices across Africa.
Mohammed said comparative data between 2025 and 2026 revealed a 56 per cent reduction in road crashes involving the company’s trucks, alongside a 36 per cent decline in fatalities and a 52 per cent reduction in injuries.
Mohammed said the outcomes demonstrate the execution of the internal transport safety policies of the company.
The Head of Transport at Dangote Cement Plc, Murilo Silva, said the company continues to invest in advanced transport management systems, including automated inspection technologies and artificial intelligence driven solutions.
