The Police Service Commission (PSC) has begun a fresh recruitment drive into the Nigeria Police Force, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for positions across several units.

The announcement appeared in a public notice published on Thursday and seen by Okay News.

The Commission said the move follows its constitutional mandate and the directive of the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, noting that the exercise is being carried out in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

According to the notice, the recruitment covers both General Duty and Specialist roles.

Applicants will be expected to go through physical and medical screening, background checks, and document verification once their online submissions are completed.

The PSC described the process as transparent and merit based, assuring the public that there is “Absolutely Free recruitment process.”

It emphasised that all applicants must undergo compulsory screening designed to ensure fairness and national integrity.

“Applicants should be free from conditions such as: Defective eyesight, knock knees, bow legs, bent knees, flat foot, deformed hands and legs, amputation or any physical disability,” the notice stated.

It added that general duty applicants must meet specific height requirements with male candidates expected to be at least 1.67m and female candidates 1.64m, while male chest measurements must not be less than 86cm.

The PSC also reiterated that bribery, inducements or any attempt to influence officers involved in the exercise would lead to prosecution.

“Cases of financial inducements or bribery (attempted or successfully undertaken) would be investigated and punished if proven,” the Commission warned.

Interested applicants are required to have a functional email address, National Identification Number, and relevant certificates before applying through the official portal.

The recruitment exercise, according to the notice signed by Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, Secretary to the Commission, will run from 15th December 2025 to 25th January 2026, a period of six weeks.

All applications must be submitted ONLINE through the official recruitment portal: https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng.
