Nigeria records 779 new case of COVID-19, total crosses 24,000

Nigeria has recorded 779 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, June 27th, 2020.

Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 22 states including FCT, with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 285 cases.

The states with the 779 new cases are Lagos (285), Rivers(68), FCT(60), Edo(60), Enugu(56), Delta(47), Ebonyi(42), Oyo(41), Kaduna(19), Ogun(18), Ondo(16), Imo(12), Sokoto(11), Borno(9), Nasarawa(8), Abia(5), Gombe(5), Kebbi(5), Kano (4), Yobe (3), Ekiti(3), Osun(2).

NCDC also announced that as of 11:40 pm on 27th June, there are 24,077 total COVID-19 confirmed cases reported in Nigeria.

8,625 patients have been discharged with 558 deaths across the country.
