The Federal Government of Nigeria has successfully repatriated 190 Nigerian citizens from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The returnees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Tuesday at 5:57 AM and were received by a team of government officials led by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

According to NEMA, the returnees have been profiled and documented by the relevant agencies and have been sensitized to behave with decorum and responsibility upon their return to Nigeria. This is the second batch of Nigerians to be repatriated from the UAE, following the repatriation of 542 citizens in October 2022.

The Federal Government has urged all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity.
