Nigeria’s senior women team the Super Falcons, are expected to return to the country this weekend, after they were evacuated from the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.

The team lost its last group game 1-0 to USA on Tuesday evening, after drawing 3-3 with Sweden and losing 2-0 to Australia.

Edwin Okon’s ladies have departed Vancouver for London aboard a British Airways flight and will fly to Abuja from the UK.

Francisca Ordega has returned to her base in the US, alongside Courtney Dike.

Captain Evelyn Nwabuoku also left for Kazakhstan, while Ini-Abasi Umotong, who plays for Pompey Ladies FC in the UK, will bid her team-mates farewell when the team touches down in London.

Team Psychologist, Kasia Muoto, has also left for her base in the United States.
