Nigerian Actor Charles Okocha Denies Biting Singer Portable

Published

LAGOS, Nigeria: Nigerian Nollywood actor Charles Okocha stated on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, that he did not bite Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola during their recent celebrity boxing rematch.

Okay News reports that Okocha dismissed the allegations during an interview on TVC Entertainment, stating he wore a mouth guard throughout the contest.

The two men faced off at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos on Friday, July 31, 2026, where Okocha was declared the winner after Okikiola was disqualified for throwing punches instead of using permitted wrestling techniques.

Following the bout, Okikiola walked out of the ring and accused Okocha of biting him on the back and locking his neck during the fight.

“Portable has been going around telling people I bit him on the back. I was wearing a mouth guard; how is that even possible? He was just lying,” Okocha said.

“I would rather chew grass than bite him. I don’t want to catch rabies. Have you seen how Portable’s skin looks? Hell no, I wouldn’t do that. He should just accept defeat,” Okocha said.
