Osoba further stated that the exercise would begin on Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. at the Foru Terminal on the Ikorodu Road in Ojota Lagos under the direction of the General Officer Commanding, 81 Division.

“The exercise will involve the assessment of the effective application of the Nigerian Army code of conduct, as well as strict adherence to Rules of Engagement (ROE) in line with international best practices and Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities, focused on the less fortunate and schools,” according to the statement.

According to the Nigerian Army’s (NA) 2022 training instruction, the 81 Division NA’s soldiers, along with attached formations and units stationed in Lagos and Ogun states, would undertake the exercise still water from October 12 through December 23, 2022.

“The drill will be carried out in conjunction with paramilitary, sister services, and other security organizations.

The exercise, which will integrate into a real-time operation, aims to increase troops’ professionalism and readiness in addressing security concerns that are common in their jurisdictions, such as kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, ritual killings, and pipeline damage, among others.
