Abuja, NIGERIA — The Nigerian Army, through its subsidiary Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL), has officially announced the cessation of appointment for Nathan Oguwike, Esq., who served as the Company Secretary. In a public notice, the company stated that Oguwike is no longer in its service.

The notice, signed by Lieutenant Augustina Nkeonye, the Acting Public Relations Officer of PHDL, explicitly warns the general public and business partners that Oguwike is no longer authorized to represent or bind the company in any capacity.

Okay News reports that PHDL has disclaimed any liability for actions or representations made by the former secretary following the effective date of his exit.

Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL) is a wing of the Nigerian Army’s welfare structure, headquartered at Mambilla Barracks, Abuja. Established to implement the Nigerian Army Housing Scheme (NAHS), the company manages massive estate developments across the country, providing affordable housing for retiring personnel as well as selling serviced plots to the general public.

The sudden public announcement of the Secretary’s exit follows recent efforts by the Chief of Army Staff to standardize estate operations and enhance transparency within the military’s commercial subsidiaries. While the notice did not specify the reasons for the cessation of Oguwike’s appointment, the clear “no liability” clause suggests a firm administrative break aimed at protecting the company’s legal and financial interests during the transition to a new secretary.
