The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Limited has announced plans to introduce one of Europe’s leading biscuit brands, Plazma, into the Nigerian market.
The move marks NBC’s strategic entry into the country’s growing snack food sector as part of its commitment to long-term investment and confidence in Nigeria’s economic potential.
According to the company, the launch of Plazma Biscuit represents a collaborative effort between Bambi, a top European confectionery firm, Coca-Cola HBC Group, NBC, and a local manufacturing partner.
Plazma, crafted with high-quality ingredients, is described as a wholesome and creamy biscuit designed to promote both enjoyment and healthy living among Nigerian families.
Speaking at the product’s unveiling, NBC Managing Director, Goran Sladić, said the launch signified a new chapter in the company’s growth and innovation journey.
“Plazma is more than a biscuit. It represents trust, quality, and connection that transcend borders and inspire generations,” Sladić said. “Bringing this beloved brand to Nigeria reinforces our commitment to the people, potential, and promise of this great nation.”
He emphasized that NBC’s presence in Nigeria for over 70 years reflects its dedication not only to business expansion but also to national development and community support.
The launch event was highlighted by Sladić’s symbolic sale of the first carton of Plazma biscuits in the local market, marking the brand’s official debut.
Industry observers say the expansion underscores NBC’s ongoing diversification strategy and its confidence in Nigeria’s consumer market.
