After taking the beating of their lives in the opening game of the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, the Falconets have bounced back with a 3-1 win over Canada.

The Falconets were thrashed 6-0 by Japan in the opening game on Sunday, November 13.

In their second game, however, the Falconents kept their World Cup hopes alive with a 3-1 win over Canada courtesy of goals from Chinasa Uchendu, Joy Bokiri and Chinwendu Ihezuo.

Nigeria now must beat Spain in their last group game and also hope result of the game between Canada and Japan is favourable to qualify
