Nigeria’s power generation has attained another historical high.

Power generation last Saturday was 4,720 megawatts, with power supply rising to 18 hours in major cities.

The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Power, Dr. Godknows Igali said: “Never in Nigerian history have we reached a new peak level as the one for yesterday (Saturday) which is 4700mw. This is something that happened; power has improved all over Nigeria and people are getting 18 hours to 19hours daily supply.

“We have never crossed more than 4,000mw in the past but it is happening now and that was yesterday night at about 9pm. The agenda of Mr President to deliver power to Nigerians is on course,” he said.
