Abuja, NIGERIA — The Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Umahi, CON, has officially signed the second-term nomination form for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, ahead of the 2027 General Elections. Umahi characterized the document as a “victory form,” signaling the All Progressives Congress (APC) cabinet’s unified commitment to the “Absolute Clarity” and continuity of the Renewed Hope agenda.
Umahi emphasized that his endorsement is rooted in the “tangible results” recorded under the current administration, particularly the aggressive reforms in the infrastructure sector. As the chief driver of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Illela-Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, the Minister noted that these multi-trillion naira projects require “consistent leadership” to reach full completion.
Okay News reports that Umahi’s public signing is part of a broader surge in party activity as the APC approaches the May 30 primary deadline, aiming to stabilize the national economy through sustained infrastructure rehabilitation.
The Minister further stated that President Tinubu is uniquely positioned to consolidate the gains made in the last three years, describing the administration’s roadmap as the foundation for long-term national transformation. This move by the Works Minister follows similar declarations of loyalty from key stakeholders across the country, including Desmond Elliott in Lagos and the “Gombe Model” consensus drive. Umahi urged Nigerians to prioritize stability, arguing that the President’s interest-free student loans and refinery milestones—such as the Dangote IPO—are proof that the administration is building both physical roads and “mental inroads” into the hearts of the populace.
