Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) outlined digital-skills and infrastructure priorities for creative businesses at Moment 2026, held in Lagos from March 13 to 15, 2026.
The event’s organiser, Mainstack, identified the Landmark Event Centre in Nigeria’s commercial capital as the venue. Its programme covered content production, design, technology and the business of creative work.
Okay News reports that NITDA Director-General Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi was represented by Ayodeji Eniola, director of the director-general’s office, according to contemporaneous reports of the address.
Inuwa said access to connectivity, computing resources and digital platforms affected creators’ ability to produce work and reach audiences. He linked the agency’s support to training and the development of local technology infrastructure.
TechEconomy reported that the address discussed skills in animation, visual effects, game development and digital media. It also referred to the National Sovereign Cloud Initiative as part of NITDA’s infrastructure agenda.
The remarks connected support for creative businesses with cybersecurity, data protection and confidence in digital services. Inuwa also referred to research and training through the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
The organiser’s schedule placed the main conference on March 14, between a pre-event mixer and an awards evening. It included a policy discussion on art, culture and creativity, as well as sessions on brand partnerships and building creative businesses.
The published accounts did not identify the exact day of NITDA’s address. They described the agency’s policy priorities and planned support, without specifying a new funding allocation for creators at the event.
