Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) launched its sixth Service Charter on June 24, 2026, setting out processing targets for three services used by public institutions and technology businesses.
The standards included domain registration within one working day, information technology project clearance within 10 working days, and registration of indigenous information technology companies and service providers within 48 hours.
Okay News reports that the targets were outlined in a release signed by Aderemi Ajibola Adelabu, public awareness manager at SERVICOM Presidency, Nigeria’s public-service delivery monitoring office.
At the launch in Abuja, the country’s capital, SERVICOM’s acting national coordinator and chief executive, Helen Lawal, asked NITDA to publicise the standards, train frontline staff and regularly report performance.
NITDA’s director-general, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, was represented by its director of corporate planning and strategy, Dimie Shively Warowei.
The charter set service commitments. Lawal asked the agency to monitor implementation and correct gaps identified through performance reporting.
