A group of workers has promised to stop everything across the whole country if gas prices go up again. They don’t want gas prices to be more than 617 naira because they think that’s against the rules.

The leader of the group, Joe Ajaero, said this on Monday during a meeting in Abuja. He also said the group won’t let anyone ignore what they want.

A while ago, we told you that gas prices might get higher, between 680 and 720 naira for each liter of gas. This could happen if the money we use gets weaker compared to dollars.

People who sell gas also said they’re having trouble getting the money they need to bring gas into the country.

Before, the workers were going to stop working for a long time, but they changed their minds after talking to the President, Bola Tinubu.
