The examination body’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said the conclusion at the stakeholders’ meeting held in Owerri, Imo State, recently was that all the Federal and state universities must adhere strictly to the November 30 deadline while the polytechnics, colleges of education and private universities should enjoy between two to three weeks of extension.

He said the institutions are expected to submit all their admission lists on or before tomorrow and that as soon as approved by the body, the candidates can be contacted.

According to Benjamin, the extension would be used to perfect the admission processes for other levels of the higher institutions, saying those not admitted by the universities could be considered by the various polytechnics, colleges of education and private universities.

He said; “As at today, I can confirm to you that JAMB is standing by the deadline and there may be no going back. We expect everyone to comply because we took the decision together.”
