Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in a statement by the state commissioner for the environment, Babatunde Adejare said that the restriction of movement between 7 Am and 10 AM will no longer take effect.

The statement read that the Government cannot afford to shut down a mega city like Lagos for a period of three hours.

According to the statement, the State Governor prefers the environmental sanitation to be a daily exercise rather than a monthly exercise.

Adejare said that the Governor charged residents to make sanitation a way of life by doing so daily.

He also vowed to shut down markets violating the state’s environmental laws in seven days.
