NIGERIA — Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, actress Adebimpe Oyebade, announced the birth of their triplet sons on Friday, May 1, 2026.
Okay News reports that Lateef Adedimeji confirmed the news through a post on his verified Instagram account on Friday morning.
The actor described the birth of the children as the greatest blessing of his life. Lateef Adedimeji wrote: “I’ve been quiet… not absent. I was building, protecting, and embracing the greatest blessing of my life. God gave me more than I prayed for — a woman who became a mother of three, and three kings to call my own.”
The announcement was made at approximately 8:56 am WAT. Adebimpe Oyebade, who is widely known by the name Mo Bimpe, and her husband are both prominent figures within Nigeria’s Yoruba film industry. The couple previously held their wedding ceremony in 2021.
Several colleagues from the film industry responded to the announcement with public statements. Actress Mercy Aigbe stated: “To God be the glory. Congratulations.” Actress Omowumi Dada also reacted to the news, stating: “Such GOODNEWS for the month of May. THANK YOU JESUSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Congratulations fam.”
Another colleague, Juliana Olayode, expressed her reaction to the birth of the triplets. Juliana Olayode stated: “God is Good!!! God is Good!!!God is Good!!! Watching this again, I’m in tears, congratulations my fam, so happy for you two. Can’t believe I’m an Auntie.”
The father of the triplets concluded his public announcement with the Islamic expression of gratitude, “Alhamdulilah.” He did not provide the specific names or the exact date of birth for the three infants.
