Novak Djokovic has won the 2015 Italian Open after defeating Roger Federer in the Finals.

Djokovic recorded a comfortable 6-3 6-4 win over Federer to secure his 4th Italian Open title.

The win was also Djokovic’s 22nd consecutive win, with his speed and consistency proving too much for the Swiss legend.

“It was a great week, and today was my best match,” Djokovic told the crowd in Italian. “It’s always a pleasure to play against Roger, and obviously I’m very pleased by today. … Along with 2011, this is the best year of my career.”

“I don’t know how [to] continue at Roland Garros, but obviously I have a lot of confidence. I hope I can continue like this.”
