Oba of Benin Hails President Buhari’s Anti-corruption Fight

Oba Ewuare II, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the anti-corruption stance of his government.

This was just as the president pointed out that Oshiomhole has served well and that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) will look for a place for him to serve.

The recently crowned Oba Ewuare II said President Buhari’s management of the country’s scarce resources will improve the welfare of the people.

Oba Ewuare, who spoke during the visit of President Buhari to his palace, expressed joy that President Buhari was the first person he would receive at his newly-built palace since his coronation on September 20.

He used the opportunity to request more presence of the Federal Government in Benin and improvement in the living standard of the country.

Among other demands, he reminded President Buhari on the need to support the transformation of Gelegele jetty in Ovia South West Local Government Area to an export processing zone.

He said the transformation of Gelegele jetty would provide employment and contribute to the economy development of Edo State and the country.

He his respond, President Buhari praised Governor Adams Oshiomhole for his developmental strides in Edo State despite the economic downturn.
