Oba Yushau Oseni Regains Freedom After Spending 20 Days with Kidnappers

The traditional ruler of Iba Town, in Lagos State, Oba Yushau Oseni, has regained his freedom after spending over 20 days with his kidnappers.

The monarch was kidnapped in his palace, on Saturday, July 16, 2016 killing three persons, in the process.

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr Eatai Owoseni, who confirmed to Channels Television that the traditional ruler is back in his palace, said the leader of the gang of kidnappers has been arrested by his men.

It’s not clear if any ransom was paid before he was freed.

The kidnappers had demanded the sum of N40 million ransom which the victim’s family members said they could not afford.
