‘Obasanjo Did Not Quit PDP, But Was Expelled By The Party’ – PDP

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was expelled from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the party has said, countering his claim that he voluntarily resigned his membership, CableNG reports.

Obasanjo had, at a meeting with members of the party from his Abeokuta north ward on Monday, torn his membersship card, saying he no longer wished to belong to any party. But the state chapter of PDP has now issued a statement saying the former president was expelled for anti-party activities.
