Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has sworn in Joseph Eboigbe as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). Eboigbe’s appointment follows the resignation of Osarodion Ogie, who stepped down to pursue his political aspirations.

Eboigbe, a former Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget and Economic Planning and Commissioner for Finance, is also chairing the 20-member transition committee for a smooth transition to the next administration.

Governor Obaseki expressed confidence in Eboigbe’s capacity to deliver, describing him as an astute, diligent, and detailed individual who has proven himself under his administration.

Eboigbe thanked the governor for the appointment and promised to discharge his responsibilities to the utmost of his ability and exceed expectations.

The inauguration took place at the EXCO Chambers, Government House, Benin City.
