Governor Godwin Obaseki has gotten a go-ahead from a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt on Wednesday to participate in the Edo governorship primary under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Okay.ng understands that the court reached this decision after parties to the suit agreed out-of-court settlement and withdrew the case which was before Justice E. O Obile.

Following a recess, the court returned and struck out the suit after the plaintiff’s lead counsel, D. C. Denwigwe (SAN), withdrew the suit on the grounds that all parties had settled amicably.

This gives Governor Obaseki go-ahead to partake in PDP’s governorship primary scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2020.
