Ogun State, southwestern Nigeria, has commended the Ogun State Economic Transformation Project (OGSTEP) for strengthening key development sectors. The initiative has impacted education, agriculture, health, infrastructure, land management, and business environment.
Okay News reports that Head of Service Kehinde Onasanya lauded OGSTEP during a farewell visit by the project team in Abeokuta, Ogun State’s capital. Team leader Mosunmola Owo-Odusi headed the delegation.
Onasanya described OGSTEP as a “bold, visionary stimulus” and the “engine room of the state’s renaissance”. It has reinvigorated the ISEYA development pillars under Governor Dapo Abiodun.
He highlighted the Governor’s commitment to agriculture and land reforms. Abiodun signed a bill establishing the Ogun State Agricultural Land Management Agency.
The agency deploys the Framework for Responsible and Inclusive Land-Intensive Agricultural Investments. It governs acquisition, allocation, and management of agricultural land.
“The work is not done yet. It must not become a giant that fades into slumber but be sustained maximally,” Onasanya stated.
He urged prioritising monitoring and evaluation. Sustained gains require vigilant oversight.
Onasanya thanked the project team and collaborating Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. Their dedication drove strategic execution.
Owo-Odusi appreciated consistent state government support since 2020 inception. Stakeholders ensured successful implementation.
OGSTEP records significant achievements across sectors. It transforms Ogun’s economy through targeted interventions.
The project aligns with broader goals for inclusive growth. It positions Ogun as a leading investment destination in Nigeria.
This recognition underscores effective public-private collaboration. It supports sustainable development in southwestern Nigeria’s industrial hub.
