The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief on Thursday pleaded not guilty to an amended seven-count charge leveled against him by the EFCC at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

At the resumed trial, counsel to the EFCC, Silvanus Tahir brought to the notice of the court that the prosecution has filed an amended charges.

Tahir then urged the court to accept the amended charges saying “The charges are harmless and have in no way altered the original charges. We only crossed the ‘T’s and doted the ‘I’s.” he said.

The prosecution further prayed the court to order the accused to take a fresh plea.

Consequently, Justice Okon Abang ordered Metuh to take the fresh plea to the amended charges, to which he pleaded not guilty.
