Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud has claimed that his side are the best club in England, despite spending a large part of his career with their London rivals Arsenal.
According to the France international, Chelsea is currently the top club in the Premier League ahead of Manchester City, Liverpool and others because the West London club have won a lot of titles than any other clubs in the English topflight league in the past ten years.
Giroud stated this ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League match against Manchester United this weekend.
“It did not go as far as we could say,” Giroud told L’Equipe.
“There was really a contact [from Marseille] last year, but nothing really concretes this summer.
“I had just arrived at Chelsea, it was not the time to pack my bags again three months later.
“For me, Chelsea is the top club in England, the one that has won the most titles over the last ten years.
“I am where I wanted to be. So why leave?,” he said.
