Olori Folashade Ashley, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has revealed that her son with the monarch is a “crown prince” to the highly revered Ife throne.
In a recent Instagram post that has since gone viral, Olori Folashade shared the royal lineage of her son, emphasizing his significance to both the maternal and paternal sides of the Ife royal family.
She wrote, “A prince from the maternal side of Ooni Adagba royal compound of Lafogido ruling house and a prince from the paternal side of Ooni Agbedegbede royal compound of Giesi ruling house, combined to the royal throne of Oduduwa.”
“As a mother, call forth and speak life to your children; call them what you want for them and what you want them to be.
“Let your children know who they are in this world and what they were born and destined to be without prejudice. It is your duty and right to do so as a mother.
“There is power in your tongue, use it on your children. Do not apologize for speaking life into your seeds to germinate and produce fruit. Do not be pressured by anyone.”
The Ooni of Ife and Olori Folashade welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, marking a new chapter in the royal family.
