‘One Battle After Another’ Dominates 2026 Oscars With Six Awards

Los Angeles, USA – The film One Battle After Another emerged as the biggest winner at the 98th edition of the Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, after securing six major awards during the 2026 ceremony in Hollywood, California.

Okay News reports that the movie clinched the prestigious Best Picture award and also won Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson, Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Film Editing and Best Casting.

In the acting categories, Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet, while Michael B. Jordan secured the Best Actor award for his role in Sinners. The Best Supporting Actress award went to Amy Madigan for Weapons.

Other major winners included KPop Demon Hunters, which took home the Best Animated Feature award, while Sentimental Value won Best International Feature. The Best Documentary Feature award went to Mr Nobody Against Putin.

In the technical categories, Frankenstein won multiple awards including Best Production Design, Best Costume Design and Best Make-Up and Hairstyling. Meanwhile, Avatar: Fire and Ash claimed the Best Visual Effects award, while F1 won Best Sound.

A rare moment occurred in the Best Live Action Short category where two films, The Singers and Two People Exchanging Saliva, shared the award after the voting ended in a tie.
