The WBA, IBO, IBF champion Anthony Joshua has revealed one of his biggest mistake in his career, as he prepares for his next opponent in the ring.

Joshua, whose mother is a Nigerian, stated this in an interview on “Raw and Uncut”.

Joshua has been relentless in his training in the gym making sure sure that he keep up to shape for his net challenger.

“Before my last fight. It was the first time I had a long break. I felt the best thing for me to do would be staying away from the ring, recover and eat loads of food.

“I came in very heavy and I spent a lot of time over training trying to get the weight off. So, what I am doing now, I am not in the gym for now because this is the first time I will be fighting two to three times in a year.”

The Nigerian-born British boxer described the experience as a learning curve for him as Boxing is not an easy sport and it requires consistency in order to keep to the required shape and fitness.

While responding to a reporter’s question about a possible rematch with Vladimir Klitschko in Nigeria being “far-fetched, Joshua said that fighting in Lagos is also an option.

He said in terms of cost, travel, and other logistics, Lagos is also a viable option as Las Vegas. “I’m going to defend Nigeria,” he said, adding that the location doesn’t matter, as long as the fight is good.
