Leonid Radvinsky, the billionaire owner of the subscription platform OnlyFans, has died at the age of 43 following a long battle with cancer.
Okay News reports that the London-based company confirmed his death on Monday, stating that the Ukrainian-American entrepreneur passed away peacefully and that his family has requested privacy during their period of mourning.
Radvinsky transformed the digital content industry after acquiring a majority stake in OnlyFans’ parent company, Fenix International Ltd, in 2018 from British founders Guy and Tim Stokely.
Under his ownership, the platform exploded in popularity, particularly during the pandemic, fundamentally changing how creators monetize their content. Despite its controversial reputation for hosting adult material, the business generated $1.4 billion in revenue in 2024 and consistently paid out massive dividends.
Outside of his business ventures, Radvinsky maintained a low public profile but was known for his philanthropic donations to cancer research, open-source projects, and animal welfare organizations.
His sudden passing raises immediate questions regarding the future ownership and direction of the highly profitable platform. In 2024, Radvinsky transferred his ownership stake into a trust to manage his assets.
Prior to his death, he had reportedly been in the early stages of negotiating the sale of a 60 percent stake in the company to a US investment firm, a transaction that would have valued OnlyFans at approximately $5.5 billion.
