Osogbo, NIGERIA – Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, alongside members of the Imole Campaign Council, has kicked off a high-octane grassroots mobilization tour across Boripe and Ifelodun Local Government Areas ahead of the state’s upcoming August 15, 2026, governorship election.
The campaign rallies, which drew thousands of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members and local supporters, served as a strategic platform for the administration to showcase its stewardship over the last three and a half years. Okay News reports that Governor Adeleke used the tour to thank the local communities for their sustained institutional trust and unwavering backing since he assumed office in late 2022.
Addressing the massive gatherings, Governor Adeleke reaffirmed his commitment to the ongoing infrastructural transformation of the state, promising that his administration would not relent on its core developmental trajectory. He emphasized that the state’s aggressive public finance reforms, expansion of rural solar-powered water infrastructure, and extensive road dualization projects have successfully bridged major developmental gaps.
As political tensions rise across major party lines in the state, the governor assured residents that a second-term mandate would focus entirely on consolidating his administration’s socio-economic gains. He vowed to run an all-inclusive government where structural dividends touch every community, declaring that through rigorous planning and transparent execution, the “Imole” (light) agenda will continue to move Osun State forward.
