Security operatives on Saturday arrested agents of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in connection with vote buying at the ongoing governorship election in the state.

According to reports reaching okay.ng, the two agents were caught with a sum of 604,000 naira.

In the course of investigation, the suspects were said to have confessed that a PDP chieftain in Molete gave them the money to help induce voters to do their party’s bidding.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission had earlier frowned at the scourge.

The electoral body had pronounced that paying money to voters or receiving money to vote is a criminal offence.
