The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that the objective of his party is to rescue Nigeria from bad governance by sweeping out the PDP from the position of leadership, adding that he would not be distracted by smear campaigns.

Buhari who was addressing students and youths in the South-west at a Town Hall meeting in Lagos, said the whole idea of the forthcoming elections is to save the country from the current economic downturn, insecurity and high unemployment.

The APC presidential candidate said no Nigerian should accept any election postponement again because it lacks constitutional backing.

“We must conduct election and it must be free, fair and credible”, he said, adding that his party had identified 3 major problems facing us, namely – insecurity, corruption and economic mismanagement.

He said he would tackle these problems frontally as soon as he emerges president on March 28.
