Oyo Assembly Approves 10 Special Advisers For Gov. Ajimobi

The Oyo State House of Assembly has approved the appointment of 10 special advisers for Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

Even though the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Micheal Adeyemo at plenary on Thursday, did not reveal the identity of the nominated aides of the Governor but while reading the letter he received from the governor, he noted that the approval was necessary to enable the governor carry out his administration’s plans.

The 32-member House also received the report of its recently held retreat.

Also, the bill seeking the reduction of ministries from 23 to 13 as well as the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology law 2015, Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Corporatives Laws 2015, Ministry of Finance and Economic Development law 2015, passed through first reading.

The law to repeal some laws in Oyo state and other matters connected therewith as well as ministry of Environment, Physical planning and urban development law 2015 were also read in the house.
