Passengers Stranded At ‘Lagos Airport’ On Christmas Day As Ticket Prices Drastically Increased

A lot of Passengers travelling out of Lagos where left stranded today at the two domestic Lagos airports as flight ticket fees where drastically increased. The air ticket for an hour flight which was between N18,000 to N30,000, went to N30,000 to N43, 000, depending on the carrier.

Another fare on the Lagos-Enugu route, which was less than 45 minutes, was N35, 000 as against the usual fee of N20,000, while Lagos-Abuja route attracted an average ticket price of N40, 000 against its usual N24, 000.

 

Passengers where however heard murmuring saying, Christmas is a time to share, and not a time for airline operators to start exploiting money from innocent passengers. So many where left stranded as they could not make use of cash machines and had only the exact planned ticket fees with them.
