A pastor with one of the white garment churches, Waleola Sunday, was on Wednesday sentenced to three years imprisonment without an option of fine by an Akure Chief Magistrate Court for defiling male children in his neighbourhood.

Waleola, who claimed to be employed as a Prophet in a Cherubim and Seraphim church in Okearo Street in Akure, the state capital, has the penchant of seducing male students and playing with their manhood.

Although he was brought to the court for the first time for the heinous crime, he, however, said he was not committing the offence for the first time.

In his confessional statement tendered before the court, the 32-year-old Prophet said he had defiled more than four male students before the men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arrested him earlier in the month.

According to him, he normally goes to public schools during break hour, approaches the male students and seduces them. He would take them into the nearest bush to carry out his action after which he would allow the students to go back to their classes.

Waleola, who blamed the act on devil, said that he did not know what usually came over him when he was molesting his victims. He added that he would come to his senses after he must have completed the act.
